CONCERNMENT OF RESISTANT PATHOGENS IN ICU PATIENTS ON PROLONGED MECHANICAL VENTILATION

Republican Specialized Center of Surgery named after academician V.Vakhidov, Tashkent, Uzbekistan

Disease severity ICU patients contribute almost 10-fold increase in the consumption of antibiotics in comparison with general offices (RM Mehta, MS Niederman, 2000). The use of broad-spectrum antibiotics contributes to the emergence of resistant flora. Resistant flora in the ICU may be characteristic of the department or to reflect the general laws. The rapid growth of the problem of antibiotic resistance requires a multi-disciplinary co-operation and the development of methods of protection. The ability of antibiotics to cause selection of resistant strains is dependent on: the suppression of susceptible strains of microorganisms (value of the minimum inhibitory concentration - MIC), the ability of microorganisms to mutate spontaneously or under pressure, antibiotics, proximity of other microorganisms (intensive care unit), the ability to receive, express and transmit the acquired resistance determinants (Bonhoffcr S., Lipsitch M., Levin BR., 2000). The question of how interconnected the...
